Laker Linkage – 7/6/09
July 6th, 2009 | by Garrett Wilson |- The legend of the Kobe-Artest shower meeting is confirmed by Phil Jackson.
- Ron Artest has posted some personal video diaries from the night leading up to his signing with the Lakers. The most interesting thing from the video is that it sure seems like it was the Lakers who reached out to Artest rather than the other way around as they have led us to believe.
- The Lakers are going to attempt to re-sign Lamar Odom and allegedly are starting with an offer in the 3 year. $25 million range. Considering LO made over $11 million last season, that seems like a steep pay cut for the guy to take, which would be much less of a problem if there was any teams left with cap room that are in play for Odom. Let’s hope Portland doesn’t get panicky and go after Odom.
- The Lakers need to worry about Shannon Brown now too as there are rumors that the Pacers have contacted Brown about joining their club.
