Laker Linkage – 7/15/09
July 15th, 2009 | by Garrett Wilson |Get ready for the Lamar Odom “sky is falling” avalanche of links (plus one non-related story):
- It is official, the Lakers have pulled their offer to Lamar Odom off the table. The summer of hardball negotiations continues.
- What caused the Lakers to pull out negotiations with Lamar Odom is that they had a 3 year, $30 million and 4 year, $36 million offers on the table for a week but never got a response from Odom’s agent. If that is truly the case, Odom’s agent is an idiot considering he has been demanding $10 million per year.
- Speaking of LO’s stupid agent, the LA Times’ Ted Green is calling him out.
- Odom should be fully warned that Jerry Buss will have no problem calling his bluff on his contract demands. Don’t believe him? Just ask Shaq.
- Jordan Farmar and Luke Walton are both on record now as wanting Odom back. Good, maybe they can talk some sense into him.
- Tex Winters is battling hard in his long recovery from a stroke, re-learning how to talk, but apparently he can still draw up a play.
