Discussion: Does the Pre-Season Mean Anything?
October 6th, 2009 | by Garrett Wilson |This week’s discussion for all you fans out there is how much stock do you put into pre-season performance? The pre-season schedule kicks off tomorrow with the Lakers doing battle against the Golden State Warriors, but is the game anything more than just a scrimmage or should we take anything out of the results?:
A) The pre-season means a lot, play every game like it is Game 7
B) Only the back end of the roster should worry about the pre-season, Kobe and the other starters have little to prove.
C) The results of pre-season games mean nothing, they are strictly glorified practices so that the players can work on offensive and defensive schemes while developing their own skill set in a pressure-free environment.
SECRET OPTION D) The Timberwolves went 6-2 in the pre-season last year, doesn’t that alone tell you how useless the pre-season is?

Hello im a true laker fan win or lose. But with the squad they have now and everyone staying healthy and Phil in ZEN mode there is one team to beat themselves. They have a roster that is like a dream team every position has deadly weapons. D.Fisher has to have a outstanding backup guy. Farmar has to step up his game and prove that he can handle that responsibility. Brown was very good in the run for the title. He became one of my favorites during the playoffs. He is not afraid to go up in the paint against the big centers and forwards
