Lakers Linkage – 11/16/09
November 16th, 2009 | by Garrett Wilson |- The Story: A prediction that the Lakers will not lose a single playoff game this year. The Fire Says: Ummm, yeah. That prediction was made after the Suns win but before the losses to the Nugs and Rox, so I am guessing they might want to take that back.
- The Story: Ron Artest is producing a “docudrama” to be released next summer. The Fire Says: Apparently it is going to chronicle his life, so I think perhaps he might want to call it a psychological thriller rather than a docudrama.
- The Story: Pau Gasol has been pain free for a few days and could return to practice this week. The Fire Says: Well, we’ve been down this road before, but it still qualifies as good news. The Lakers clearly need Pau’s help so they can snap out of their funk.
- The Story: Kobe Bryant tweaked his groin in last night’s loss and Luke Walton’s back is acting up again. The Fire Says: The groin has been bothering Kobe for a week, so he will continue to play through it, but the back injury prevented Luke from playing last night.
- The Story: According to Kobe, everyone needs to calm down over the recent Laker slump. The Fire Says: Bryant is right for everyone to not panic, but at the same time, the Lakers need to take this slump seriously even though it is early in the season.
