Laker Linkage – 11/20/09
November 20th, 2009 | by Garrett Wilson |- The Story: Yesterday was the five-year anniversary of the Malice at the Palace. The Fire Says: This annoys me that this is a Laker story now even though they had nothing to do with it.
- The Story: Luke Walton underwent a pain relieving procedure yesterday for his ailing back. The Fire Says: This doesn’t change the timetable for Luke’s return though, but, hey, he’s feeling better, so that’s cool.
- The Story: Kobe is on board for the league-wide retirement of the Michael Jordan’s #23. The Fire Says: Considering Kobe has spent so much of his career copying Jordan (allegedly) this is no surprise.
- The Story: The new #2 scorer in Laker history is now Kobe Bryant who knocks of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Fire Says: ???
- The Story: Andrew Bynum suffered a mild ankle sprain in last night’s win. The Fire Says: He is day-to-day for now, but the more pressing concern is why he can’t play with Pau Gasol for more than a week without getting hurt.
